Protect public health: duty of all!

Health is everyone's right and duty of the State, according to the Constitution. Everyday life becomes increasingly evident that this is a dead letter and, if we do not fight, logo also will be on the Magna Carta. Pressured by the imperialist countries — particularly, of course, the , Governments around the world are attacking the históricos conquistados pela luta dos trabalhadores e do movimento popular em todas as áreas. Moreover, sucatização the health, education, transportation and public infrastructure are part of a strategy to privatize and further enrich the imperialist countries.

But let's fly low… I will only talk about health, although, is true, we need to fight through a lot to have in fact an ideal world to live. Many workers get sick every day because of the increasingly unhealthy conditions of work. Not only, there are still attacks on security, excessive working hours, cutting staff (generating climate of constant insecurity and unemployment) and rights, all this in exchange for payments that do not guarantee the minimum conditions for survival, that often accompany even the official inflation (since the real is much larger — or anyone think that prices have risen only 5% last year?).

In this scenario, It is more than obvious that the has a duty to ensure the population a minimal health infrastructure. See I'm not discounting the other problems, I think we should fight against them all, but stand here as the issue of health harm reduction. We've all paid for it. Still, who needs access to the is a hostage of evil attendance (or no care) and often have to resort to a health plan, abusive and services with prices almost as poor as the state.

In a conversation I had earlier in the week, the father of a friend told me that he was in a public hospital waiting for care when a man who stood beside her care died after asking repeated times. Once, num state hospital was the North Zone, accompanying my grandmother who had a health problem, and saw a man with a leg fracture, with his trousers torn and covered with blood, approaching the gate of care: the guard closed the door and said he would forward it to the counter — in another pavilion — to register before being served. The man was, jumping.

For anyone who advocates or private public partnership, just remember the case of Vaseline injected in place of serum in the Hospital São Luiz Gonzaga, no Jacana. The government transfers to a private group an absurd amount of money for them to manage a public hospital — and with it, not required to provide in its dependencies of patient care , what is required by law of all private hospital, they reduce the number of staff, which most often is hired under a cooperative, no rights, increase the amount of beds, e or outcome, of course, is catastrophic. And, clear: for every penny saved someone profited greatly.

We must fight not to lose the right to public health and so we can all enjoy it. It is absurd to see people dying slowly in queues or in their homes because they are not met. It is absurd to see the doctors working in poor conditions and inhumane journeys. It is absurd that the government transfers to individuals the duty to ensure good health.

This fight is all. A quality public health requires that private schools offer better services and relieve the worker — already achacado by abusive values of , inflation, home, etc. — to spend extra money for health insurance and medicine. Especially, a quality public health prevents death and suffering. Do not be complicit by omission. Take this fight on our hands and compel the state to fulfill its duty.

Essa lean vai ointment are taken.

Many do not know and neither is the government's interest to know, but many services are already provided — free and with quality — State hair. It remains that everyone has access but, of course, there is adequate disclosure. Let me give some examples used here, and I met in Sao Paulo:

  • Medicines are provided free in many subway stations in the pharmacy Dose One, only on prescription of public service;
  • The clinics also provide medicines for free with any recipe, public or patricular;
  • For more expensive drugs, ED drugs at high custo, No Glicério (Center), provides drugs free of charge, delivering at home monthly and by appointment (and the service works perfectly). I know people who were taking medications that, at all, cost more than $ 2,000 per month, and were met by this service;
  • For those who want to quit smoking, CAPES to provide completely free treatment, including psychological counseling and medication (that can cost more than $ 600 per month).
